I love love the attention to details in this film. I noticed something the second time around. When Mrs. Park is asked by Ki-Jong if something happened to Da-Song in the first grade the shot is with them talking and a view of the stairs in the background. The light by the stairs to the basement goes off the moment she asks. I got chills.

Love how the food is symbolic. It's two different cheap instant ramen mixed with expensive sirloin beef. Like the two poor families and the rich family in the movie.

This movie was so intense. I was so shocked and amazed seeing literally the whole family in on it and planning things to a T. But when it comes to extremely detailed planning, the smallest mistake can make everything go haywire. In this case, it’s that they did not know that there was a hidden basement and a person living there. They also didn’t take into account that the storm would affect the camping trip and their home. And it was from there that everything went downhill. The emotions I felt and how tense I was from this movie was crazy and I didn’t realize how far the family was willing to go until they started using the house owner’s peach allergy against her.
This scene is the proof of how well this family works together. They know what they’re doing and with the goal in mind, they get it done. They know the risks and they know what will happen. It’s insane.

Can someone reccomend me more foreign movies with investing sountracks like this? I've only seen a couple foreign movies and some feel somewhat bland because music barely drives scenes at all. I haven't seen Parasite yet but I can tell the music is a key aspect in creating buildup and tension (like in this scene and the sequence where they extract the maid with peach fuzz.) A theme I've noticed with all my favorite movies is that they have phenomenal soundtracks.
I just found out, that girl is not the girl from the kdrama Goblin. Mind blown.
Loved the foreshadowing of how the housekeeper eats for two people... because she is actually feeding another person.

More than half the budget went towards the beef lolololol. For those who don't get it it's because that type of beef, hanwoo I think it's called (korean version of wagyu), is CRAAAAZZZYYY expensive but delicious
It is absolutely interesting how this entire scene is played. From the cover, this is something akin to a comedy slapstick, with them trying to cover up all the mess they created. Even until the point of the wife kicking the woman down, it is easy to laugh it off as funny, until you hear that heavy thud the moment her head hits the wall. The feeling of dread and grim realness of the situation floods in hard, and the chilling sensation you get when Kim gasps is still haunting.

What I love most about this scene is that the dad, sister and brother are in a chaotic mad scramble around the house, with Kevin yelling for his dad. Meanwhile, mom cooks in silence as her eyes dart up from time to time. And then that vicious, emotionless kick without missing a beat

in this scene i was rooting for tge parks to found out about them but at the same time i was rooting for them to be able to hide from the parks.
i watched the movie it was great but i think this was highly over rated tbh i fail to see why it's as great as people think if you think this movie was really a great masterpiece please explain to me why and change my mind because honestly all i see is a well written story with an amazing philosophy and socio economic critique of todays social class rank. i think people highly praise and over rate it because we are starved of story focused movies nowadays it isn't super great to me it's like a solid 8/10 but not a 10/10.
