I got really sad watching this. I have watched your videos when you were in that office and still making those videos just pointing at a component. I got interested in computers and found you and was a massive help in pushing me to build my first computer and eventually building my friends computers and expanding everything I know about tech. You do you, it has been great over al this time as you’ve grown this. I had the same dream that you did as I have loved all technology from day 1.

Don’t work yourself into the grave. If you need an extended break, take a break. If you truly feel like you need to retire, try a break and see if, after a little time, it seems you’ve found your solution, stick with it. Just make sure you continue making a living for yourself and your family. ☺️

Everyone will die, our choice here is simple, accept Jesus Christ's free gift of salvation, and have eternal life with God, or reject him, and be in eternal separation from him. Life is a test for us. God judges a mans heart.

No, dont. You just need to take a break for a while. Go some vacation and enjoy your life. If you still feel empty, may be its time to think more and more about spiritual session. I mean, really, your soul need some nourishment like your body does. Go find spiritual guru , reading some books, follow "good religion" that make your soul feel more calm.

I was very much into computers and gaming way before i saw your videos, but since i've seen your amazing server builds and complex network and workflow you've opened up my eyes towards a much bigger part of tech. You've inspired me to do clever things in my home network and build my own mini-servers, i invested a lot of time studying networking and server configurations, all topics beginning with at least one of your videos, and now i am actually working in IT and i can't help but feeling that this is like 50% thanks to you and your videos, your inspiring passion and dedication to tech and insane enthusiasm. You retiring, whenever that will happen, will be a very sad event for all of us, but no true LMG fan could ever be mad at you for doing this. I wish you, Yvonne and your kids all the best, and to achieve many more insane milestones in your life, LMG related or not. 😁

Hey Linus, apart from all the nice words I, and everyone else want to say, I just want to tell you: I don't think you're promoting wastefulness. Yes, you have a huge out through at the studio, so it might be hard to distance yourself from that. But you never press anything like a "you have to buy this" or anything, I and Millions of others just trust your Opinion and the way you present your content! In a way your working against wastefulness, at least for me: Your work is shaping people to be informed buyers, which hopefully decreases waste not only ecologically and economically but also just emotionally. Always keep in mind what a gift your giving to people, by helping them spending what they have well. Your work counts. Also don't burn out to much, we're techies. I don't know many other FIgos circles so prone to burnout. Everyone knows it and wishes the best! Cheers♥️

Make a sub-channel or even see how it does on your main channel. "780TI better than a 1060!?" (This title isn't accurate) but maybe it gets you thinking to start truly modding old things and showing us how so we too can live low waste style lives within the computer tech. NOBODY is doing this that is as big as you. Make the impact on the world YOU want Good luck and God Bless.

Linus, i have been watching your videos for a very long time now, even as far back as ncix tech tips. I have always loved your enthusiasm and quirkyness you have put into your videos. I have used your videos for many recommendations on current and past hrdware tech, and in my many pc builds over the years. We are about the same age and in similar cases when it comes to our careers, we get so engrosed in work we seem to put more important things behind us like our family and friends. So take some time off from LTT and do what you want to do and spend time with your family. I look foward to watching your videos for years to come. Have fun and keep your family strong.

Hey Linus, just wanted to say that I found your channel recently when I dug an old 775 mobo out of my closet with the idea of creating a HTPC. I'd been pretty much out of the PC game for years. So I came to youtube and one of the first videos I came across was the $69 gaming PC build video. Watching that series gave me so much information about used PC parts. After a $40 used processor and a $30 used video card I had built my first PC in about 10 years. The only New part was the Power supply. SO while I am sure you have fans that go out and get every new card you test, you also have a lot of fan who love when you get the most out of jank, so we can do it too. Anyway, thanks for all you do. If retiring is what you need right now, you should retire. We only get this one life.

From what I've seen on your videos where you talk about some of your past, we seem to be around the same age (born in 87). I think it's just one of those things in life at this age where life just seems to be a balancing act between work and family, and if you manage anything outside of that then it's just a bit of a rare bonus. As you said, you've been really lucky where your work is your hobby and you don't really need to work anymore to give your family the basics. It's an enviable position to be in, if you ignore the hard work that you and your family have had to put in to get you to where you are now. At the moment I can't see any why I'll be able to take my foot off the gas if I want to support my family decently and give myself a decent retirement. I've got one eye on saving to move us into a larger and more comfortable house and the other eye on a pension pot that won't fill itself up. I'm now in a more senior role in my career which means longer hours, but it doesn't stop me racing home as soon as I can so I can see the excitement on my son's face when he sees that Daddy has come home in time to put him to bed. I know I'm not going to be getting that reaction forever so I want to experience it as much as possible. It seems like a great time to take your foot off the gas and try and fit less into each day. Concentrate on the CEO stuff. Try and get your day as close to a 9-5 as you can and let the talented team you've nurtured take over more of the writing and presenting. We much prefer Anthony anyway.
