I was raised entirely vegan because of my parents being Seventh Day Adventists. They were hippies first ,so it made sense. I tried chicken for the first time at age 12. For those 12 years, I rarely had any health problems or even got sick. And I loved the meat substitutes without question. Even after I started eating meat, I've had a strong immune system and rarely get sick. They left the church in the early 90s when I was around 13. Back then, companies weren't trying to make it like real meat, but it tasted great to me. Morning Star and especially Loma Linda were favorites, and still are. I know it's not real meat but it's damn tasty. I'm now 37 and have never eaten steak and have no desire to. I love a hamburger though, so this is great news, I especially liked the fact that Mark isn't preaching, it's just a very helpful suggestion. Vegans should take note, that even though it's something you're passionate about, trying to force it will immediately turn people off to the idea, even if you have excellent points to make.

The best thing I’ve ever done for myself was intermittent fasting. I only eat one very nutritionally balanced meal every 24hrs. It saved me a lot of money, I lost loads of weight, I’m not feeling hungry constantly, I feel physically/mentally better, and I’m not throwing out spoiled food like I use to do. It took a couple of months to get my body used to it, but it was totally worth it.

Hold on, Hold on. Arn't they also burning down the Amazon to plant soybeans aswell? I know its for the production of meat in general but if they burn it for animal food will they burn it for plant based diets too? Shouldn't we be utilizing the ground we have already? Ie. backyard gardens? I'm not talking about a little old planter box in the corner, I'm saying get rid of that lushes green empty lawn and fill it with food production. I know there is companies/ communities that do it so why arn't more people onboard?

I've tried vegan burgers and sausages, while they do taste good, they taste kinda funky compared to real meats (not the filth you get at a fast food restaurant) but like bill gates said, eventually it will have enough progress you wont notice a difference. Actually there have been a bunch athletes who went vegan just to switch back within a year because they got less proteins and felt weaker overall. For me as a minimum wage person buying plant based meats, which can cost up to 3-4 times as expensive, is realistically not possible yet as i simply can't afford it. Instead i buy meat from a local butcher which is still twice as expensive as supermarket meat but at least i know where and how the meat is processed before i eat it once or twice a week

He doesn't talk about all the chemicals that go into these plant burgers. A meat burger has 1 ingredient. When you look at the package for a vegan burger, just look at the label.

I am of the opinion that this video is bull**** propoganda: Reposting this reply to a comment I made ... "Lex Baldwin @Sebastian Sullivan the comments are really not catching the manipulative tactics used in the video. He sets out to prove that impossible meat is more heathy and switches his argument to say that a plant based diet is the better one over the standard american diet. He does a similar thing with the other two things he said he set out to prove. It's disingenuous to point out that cows consume water to live. Most of that water just goes naturally back into the ecosystem via the water cycle. Cows producing methane cannot be blamed for higher levels of methane in the atmosphere because the world population of cows and production of beef has been going down. It's more likely that methane levels can be attributed to certain fracking methods. This video is full of manipulation and people are missing it. It's effective propaganda." This is the opinion that I tend towards regarding this video, but have not seen much like it anywhere else. Am curious as to others response's/feelings to what Lex is saying.

I'm a flexitarian and I've tried a couple Impossible burgers, and taste/texture wise it's not bad. I didn't prepare those myself, but the most lacking part in those that I had was that it lacked juiciness and the smell of animal fat. With this video it looks like that the juiciness part might have to be more to do with the way mine were prepared.
